Crores Worth Assets Unearthed from OPHWC Official in Vigilance Raid

Bhubaneswar: Assets worth crores belonging to OPHWC Deputy Manager of Sambalpur Division, Bidyut Ranjan Bhol, are being unearthed during ongoing vigilance searches, officials said.

According to vigilance reports, the latest findings include 29 plots located in Jatni, Berhampur, and other areas, two multi-storeyed buildings, and a flat at Kalinga Vihar in Bhubaneswar. In addition, officials have recovered gold weighing 1.140 kg, including six gold coins and two gold biscuits, along with cash amounting to ₹48.79 lakh.

Bhol is being brought to Bhubaneswar for further investigation and continued searches.

Earlier, the vigilance team had intercepted him near Sambalpur Railway Station with ₹5 lakh in suspected bribe money. Another ₹5 lakh was recovered from his residence in Bhubaneswar. During the investigation, officials also discovered two trunks containing around 70 bundles of ₹500 denomination notes at his sister’s residence in Chandrasekharpur.
