Craze for private public school continues in State

Bhubaneswar, Jan 16: Notwithstanding the allegations against private English medium schools over alleged high tuition and other fees, the inclination of parents to get their children admitted continues, especially in the State capital.
This was noticed from the interest of parents to get their children admitted in a leading public school—Mothers Public School here on Tuesday.
The school had advertised for sale of admission forms for the LKG class from 11am on Tuesday. There was a huge queue of interested persons from late in the previous night to purchase the forms.
The school authorities were urged those standing in the queue to collect tokens and come refreshed in the morning at 10am. Later, nearly 200 odd forms were sold at the counter, school authorities said.
Notably, the school is known for its teaching methods and coaching facilities in the State capital. It has also produced students who have excelled later in their lives.
