Cops nabbed middleman for trafficking of labourers in Kandhamal

(Reporters Today, Bhubaneswar):  Police on Monday arrested a middleman from Baliguda bus stand in Kandhamal district for allegedly being involved in trafficking of labourers.

According to sources, the accused was waiting at the bus stop to send the labourers of Tarbha area in Sonepur district to some other place. Acting on complaints regarding the trafficking of labourers between Rayagarh and Kandhamal, police teams raided several areas and nabbed the accused middleman.

Following this, at least 19 labourers including women were rescued. The accused is being interrogated in police custody will be presented before the court soon, sources said.
