Collectors, Civic Chiefs Appointed as Principal Census Officers for Census 2027

Bhubaneswar: The Revenue and Disaster Management Department has issued a notification appointing all District Collectors and Municipal Corporation Commissioners as Principal Census Officers in their respective jurisdictions for the upcoming Census 2027.

According to the notification, the officers will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all census-related activities within their districts and corporations.

The appointments have been made under Rule 3 of the Census Rules, 1990, and the designated officers will play a key role in ensuring smooth and successful execution of the nationwide census exercise.
