CM Majhi Meets PM Modi, Discusses Odisha’s Development Vision

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Saturday to discuss the state’s developmental priorities and strengthen coordination between the Centre and state government.

Following the meeting, CM Majhi expressed his gratitude in a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), saying, “I am grateful to the Prime Minister for his inspiration and unwavering support for the development of Odisha.”

During the meeting, the two leaders reportedly held discussions on key developmental initiatives, future strategies for accelerating growth in the state, and enhancing Centre-state cooperation. The Chief Minister reaffirmed the shared goal of building a “prosperous Odisha and a developed India.”

The meeting with the Prime Minister comes a day after Majhi met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during which they discussed matters concerning national defence and Odisha’s state-level initiatives.

CM Majhi also presented the “Odisha Vision 2026 | 2047” document to the Defence Minister, outlining a long-term blueprint for the state’s growth in line with India’s 100 years of independence in 2047 and Odisha’s centenary in 2036.

The back-to-back high-level meetings reflect Odisha’s renewed focus on strategic planning, national collaboration, and fast-tracked development under the leadership of Mohan Majhi.
