CM Majhi Launches BMC WhatsApp BOT to Provide 20 Key Civic Services

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Local Self Governance Day, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Sunday launched a WhatsApp BOT for the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), enabling citizens to access essential civic services from their mobile phones.

Through the dedicated WhatsApp number 7653011832, residents can now avail 20 key services—including property tax, trade license, and sanitation—without visiting municipal offices. By simply sending a “Hi” message, users can navigate the chatbot, which is available in English, Odia, and Hindi for greater accessibility.

The AI-powered “Chat with Us” feature also provides information on BMC functions, ward details, officials, and other civic-related queries.

According to BMC officials, the system uses conversational AI and integrates multiple applications into a single unified platform, aimed at improving service delivery and citizen convenience.
