CM Majhi Calls Emergency Meeting to Review Crime Situation in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has convened an emergency meeting today to assess the crime situation in Odisha. The review session is scheduled for 3 pm at Lokseva Bhawan and will be attended by the Home Secretary, Crime Branch officials, and the Director General of Intelligence.
According to sources, the Chief Minister has directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to submit a detailed report on the state’s crime scenario over the past year, including the overall crime graph.
The meeting will evaluate the performance of law enforcement agencies and discuss strategies to curb criminal activities. Sources suggest the discussions could lead to major changes in the police department, including the transfer of senior IPS officers.
