CM Majhi announces Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia for deceased Keyman in railway track blow up on Odisha-Jharkhand border

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased Keyman of Indian Railways in the Maoists blowing up railway track incident.

According to information, CM Majhi expressed his grief over the death of Itua Oram- the Keyman who was critically injured in the blowing up of the railway tracks on Sunday. He announced Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia for the next of the kin of the deceased from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

Taking to the official handle of the Chief Minister’s Office on X, he tweeted, “On learning about the tragic loss of life of Indian Railways’ Keyman Itua Oram in an unexpected IED blast on Odisha-Jharkhand border, Chief Minister Shri @MohanMOdisha has expressed deep grief and condoled his family. He has also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to the next of kin of the deceased.

The Maoists observe Saheed Saptah every year from July 28 to August 3 in remembrance of the deceased Maoists. To avenge their death, the Red Rebels blew up the railway tracks last night and this morning.

As a result Itua Oram was critically injured and after hours of battling he succumbed to his injuries.
