CM Kisan money worth Rs 1041.29 crore credited to account

Bhubaneswar: The CM Kisan money has been credited to the bank account of the farmers through direct benefit transfer (DBT) on August 27. Rs 2,000 was credited to the account of each farmer.

Since ‘Nuakhai’ falls on August 28, it was given the day before. Rs 2,000 was sent directly to the bank account of each farmer. With this, 52 lakh small and nominal farmers of Odisha will be benefitted. Under this scheme, the state government provides Rs 4,000 in two installments to eligible farmers.

As many as 51, 54,115 farmers will be benefitted from the disbursal of this CM KISAN Yojana money.

It is worth noting that last year, the state government had given the first installment of the CM-Kisan Yojana on the occasion of ‘Nuakhai’. Today, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Varardhan Singh Deo, who is in charge of the Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department, discussed this with all the District Collectors.

The CM Kisan Yojana was launched in the state after BJP was voted to power. Agriculture Minister KV Singhdeo had said about the launch of the scheme in the Odisha assembly while replying to the question of MLA Manas Kumar Dutta in the Assembly.

In this scheme, the farmers get Rs. 5000 in two installments. Similarly, the state government will provide Rs 12,500 to the landless farmers in three installments. New beneficiaries can apply through CM Kisan portal.

Similarly, there will be a provision to include eligible farmers under PM Kisan Yojana. A total of Rs 12,500 will be paid to each landless agricultural family in three installments. The Deputy CM had further given a written reply in this matter and assured that the process would be implemented soon.

On the other hand, farmers will be considered eligible as per PM Kisan Yojana regulations. If they are considered eligible, they will be paid the PM Kisan subsidy amount.
