CM Approves Gastroenterology Dept to Open At MKCG Hospital

Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): The much-awaited Department of Gastroenterology is all set to open at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur soon. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved a proposal in this regard by sanctioning 19 academic and non-academic posts for both surgical and medical Gastroenterology.

The CM said that the opening of two super-specialty Departments — Medical Gastroenterology and Surgical Gastroenterology at MKCG Medical College would benefit the people southern region of the State. “With the availability of this state-of-the-art super specialty medical facility in Berhampur, a new era has begun in the healthcare sector of South Odisha,” Patnaik said.
