Class 10 Student Dies After Collapsing at Hostel
A tragic incident occurred on Sunday morning at the Sri Aurobindo Integral Education Centre in Khallikote, where a Class 10 student passed away after reportedly falling unconscious within the school hostel premises.
The deceased has been identified as Mihir Pradhan, son of Santosh Pradhan, hailing from Bagalpur village under the Khallikote police jurisdiction. Mihir was a resident student at the institute while preparing for his board examinations.
According to preliminary reports, the student suddenly collapsed inside the hostel during the early hours of February 15. Hostel authorities immediately rushed him to the Khallikote Community Health Centre (CHC) for emergency medical intervention. However, attending physicians declared him “brought dead” upon arrival.
Investigation and Official Response
Upon receiving the news, grieving family members and local authorities, including the Local MLA and Tehsildar, arrived at the hospital to provide support and oversee the situation.
The Khallikote Police have registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the sudden collapse. A pall of gloom has descended over Bagalpur village and the school community as they mourn the untimely loss of the young student.
