Class 10 girl sexually assaulted by uncle and 4 others

Rajnagar: In a horrific incident, a man and four of his associates have been arrested for sexually assaulting his niece. The incident happened on Raksha Bandhan but came to light recently after the victim lodged a complaint under the Pattamundai police limits in Kendrapara district.

The incident happened in Rajnagar of Kendrapara district. This incident has sent shock waves in the area.

According to information, the niece, a Class 10 girl was allegedly abducted by her uncle and his associates on Raksha Bandhan. In lieu of her taking her to buy gifts, the accused uncle (her father’s sister’s husband) kidnapped her. Soon four of his associates also joined them at an isolated place.

All the accused took turns to sexually assault the girl studying in Class 10. They also threatened girl if she complained to anyone but the incident.

In another incident, a 60-year-old man allegedly assulted a minor girl, who is said to be his niece, under Mohana police station limits of Odisha’s Gajapati district on June 11.

The man had reportedly gone to the girl’s village to attend the banquet of one of his relatives. However, he visited the girl’s residence and allegedly assaulted her by taking the advantage of her loneliness in the house.

The matter came to light only after the minor girl informed her father about the incident, who in return filed a complaint at Mohana police station seeking action against the accused.
