CJI Surya Kant: Supreme Court Open to All Indians

Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant has stressed that every Indian citizen has the right to approach the Supreme Court for justice. He said the court welcomes petitions from ordinary citizens and elected representatives, promising legal relief wherever warranted.

On the INDIA bloc’s request for a meeting, the CJI said he received their letter a day earlier and responded last night, explaining why he could not meet the delegation.
