Chandrika Hembram Death Case: Laptop, Diary Raise Fresh Suspense

Udala: The death case of MBBS student Chandrika Hembram has taken a new turn with her laptop and diary becoming key to the investigation, as fresh claims emerge about missing evidence.

Chandrika’s cousin Rashmita has now claimed that the pocket diary recovered by police from the spot is not the one Chandrika regularly wrote in. The diary found by police had “DIE DIE” written on it, along with a date, a couplet, and the nickname “Nupur”.

Rashmita said Chandrika maintained a different diary and that the real one is yet to be traced.

Rashmita also alleged that Chandrika’s laptop, tablet and iPad are currently with Bhimsen. She claimed the laptop contains many photos, videos and other data of both, and that recovering it could reveal several secrets about the case.

Chandrika, a 28-year-old MBBS student was found dead in the Kathajodi River near Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Setu on June 4, 2026.
