Chandrababu Naidu, son Nara Lokesh put under house arrest

(Reporters Today, Bhubaneswar): Former Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh were put under house arrest on Wednesday morning, hours before the ‘Chalo Atmakur’ rally in Guntur. Naidu called for a huge rally alleging that several families have been forced to flee from their villages due to frequent attacks by YSR Congress party workers. Police stopped TDP leaders and workers who tried to visit Naidu’s residence and taken into custody.

To protest against the house arrest the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh sat on a hunger strike at around 8 am which will continue till 8 pm. State police have put several TDP leaders under house arrest on party’s call for ‘Challo Atmakur’ rally. Further, section 144 was imposed in Narasaropeta, Satenpalle, Palnadu and Gurajala areas in the State.
