Central Range Police Check 1,748 Vehicles, Collect ₹9.66 Lakh in Fines on Nov 29

Bhubaneswar: The Central Range Police conducted extensive naka and patrolling checks across seven districts on November 29, 2025, inspecting a total of 1,748 vehicles and collecting ₹9,66,500 in fines for various traffic violations.

According to official data, Khordha accounted for the highest fine amount at ₹6,62,000, followed by Puri with ₹1,31,000. Nayagarh recorded the highest number of vehicles checked at 496.

The district-wise breakdown of vehicles checked and fines collected reflects the ongoing enforcement drive aimed at strengthening road safety. A total of 181 violation photos were also shared by different districts as part of documentation and enforcement measures.

Police officials said that the strict checking drives will continue to ensure better compliance with traffic norms and enhance overall road safety in the Central Range.
