Odisha: Central Range Collects Over ₹13 Lakh During Naka and Patrolling Drive on November 18

Bhubaneswar: A comprehensive naka and patrolling drive was conducted across multiple districts under the Central Range on November 18, 2025, resulting in the collection of ₹13,23,836 in fines. Enforcement teams checked a total of 1,986 persons and vehicles throughout the day as part of the intensified surveillance effort.

In Puri district, officials collected ₹1,47,500 in fines, accompanied by the sharing of 10 photographs documenting enforcement activities. Cuttack district recorded ₹2,67,700 in fines, with teams checking 188 persons or vehicles and sharing 509 photos from the field. Jagatsinghpur district reported ₹17,000 in fines after checking 103 individuals or vehicles, along with 7 photos documenting the checks.


Other districts within the Central Range collectively contributed ₹7,74,636 in fines, with enforcement teams sharing 76 photographs to support their reports. Officials noted that the drive aimed to strengthen road safety, ensure compliance with regulations, and curb unlawful activities through strict and continuous monitoring.

Authorities have indicated that such enforcement drives will continue in the coming days, with a focus on both daytime and night patrolling to maintain safety and order across the region.
