Central Range Checks 1,713 Vehicles, Collects ₹7.63 Lakh in Fines

Bhubaneswar: The Central Range Police carried out a large-scale naka and patrolling drive on Thursday, covering seven districts under its jurisdiction. During the operation, officers checked a total of 1,713 vehicles, enforcing strict action against violations and collecting ₹7,63,500 in fines.
According to official data, Khordha district accounted for the highest fine collection with ₹5,37,500, followed by Puri, where penalties amounted to ₹1,08,000. Nayagarh recorded the highest number of photo evidences, sharing 84 images to support enforcement activities. Districts such as Cuttack and Jagatsinghpur reported lower fine collections, reflecting fewer violations.

The drive saw significant vehicle checks across all districts — 501 in Nayagarh, 350 in Puri, 328 in Kendrapara, 226 in Jajpur, 149 in Jagatsinghpur, 124 in Khordha and 35 in Cuttack. Officials said the intensified checks are part of an ongoing effort to strengthen road safety standards, curb violations and ensure better compliance with traffic regulations.
Authorities added that such enforcement drives will continue in the coming days to maintain discipline on the roads and enhance public safety across the Central Range.
