CBSE Class 10 board exams twice a year from 2026

New Delhi: In a major change in the exam system of CBSE, The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the broad class exam twice from the year 2026. The board has announced a decision in this regard.
The first exam will be held around February and the second exam will be held around mid-May. The result of the second exam will be published by June.

To keep the students stress-free, there will be 2 board exams per year. This change will be implemented from 2026. The exams will be held in February and May.
The Central Board of Secondary Education- CBSE has brought a major reform in its examination system for class 10 students. According to the latest decision of the board, from 2026, CBSE will conduct the class 10 board exams twice a year.
The CBSE exam controller has clarified that there is a slight bias. However, the first exam will be compulsory and the second exam will be optional. The exam with the highest marks will be accepted.
Students will be given additional opportunities to improve their performance. Both the exams will cover the entire syllabus, which will ensure a comprehensive assessment of the knowledge and skills of the students.
