Carpenter brutally murdered after altercation in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: In a gruesome incident, a carpenter was brutally murdered following a verbal altercation in Ramnagar village under Jambu Marine police station limits in Kendrapara.

The deceased has been identified as Tapan Das, a native of the same village as mentioned above.

As per reports, around 11 pm, Tapan was feeding the cows, when an argument broke out between one Sanjay Mandal of the same village. In a fit of rage, Sanjay reportedly attacked Tapan with a wooden plank and later smashed his head with a break.

Tapan sustained critical injuries and was immediately rushed to a nearby health centre. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The local the detained the accused and informed the police about the incident. On being informed, Police reached the site and launched an investigation.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
