Boyfriend arrested in poisoning case of young girl

Nabarangpur: Police have busted the poisoning case of a young girl in Kosagumuda of Nabarangpur district in Odisha. The boyfriend of the deceased girl has been arrested for being the accused.  Additional SP Aditya Sen informed this in a press meet on Monday.

Police informed today that the murder was committed by the male friend of the deceased young woman.

The accused has been identified as Dinesh Sarabu of the Sunari Sahi of Kosagumuda.

Yesterday it had been complained that a young woman had gone to defecate in the field near her house in Kosagumuda under Kosagumuda Police Station limits and did not return home.

After searching for her, the family members rescued her at 10:30 pm in a critical condition. The young woman was immediately admitted to the Kosagumuda hospital but the doctor there declared her dead.

The villagers and the family alleged that the young woman was murdered by making her to drink poison after sexual abuse.

On receiving the information, the police, with the help of a scientific team and dog squad, started an investigation.
