Boudh: Bus rams into bike, 2 dead

Kantamal: In a shocking accident as many as two people died in Boudh district. A private bus hit a bullet bike near Gajarajpur under Baunsuni on the National Highway 57 in Boudh district.

According to information, two bikers going a bullet bike died on the spot after a private bus named Raghunath hit them rear ended.

The deceased has been identified as Amit Jhankar of Phingalbeda village and Siddhant Pradhan of Krushnapali village.

Fortunately, the passengers had a narrow escape and everyone was safe. The bus was heading from Bhubaneswar to Umerkote in Nabarangpur district when the accident occurred midway in Boudh.

The Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.

In another accident yesterday, at least two people were killed as two bikes rammed into each other while trying to overtake a trailer truck. The incident happened near the Solamaili square under Buguda police station in Ganjam district.

According to information, late on Wednesday night, two bikes were trying to overtake a trailer truck. Due to rash driving the two bikes rammed into each other. The other biker is critically injured in the accident.

He was rushed to the Buguda Community Health Centre for treatment. Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.

In another incident of road accident, there has been a car accident in Soro block of Balasore district in Odisha on August 5. The car went and banged against the divider and was badly crushed.

The incident was reported from Balasore district under the Simulia police station in National Highway No. 16 near a Dhaba. The car went and great speed and banged with full force against the divider.

Four people inside the car had a miraculous escape. The accident occurred while they were enroute Balasore from Bhubaneswar. The car lost control near a Dhaba and repeatedly hit the divider. As a result, the car was completely crushed beyond recognition.
