Bomb used for hunting explodes in Dhenkanal, youth loses both palms

Kamkhayanagar: In a tragic incident, a youth lost both his palms after a bomb exploded while he was assembling it for hunting animals at Gandataila village under Parjang police limits in Dhenkanal. Two others also sustained injuries.

As per reports, Birendra Naik of Gandataila Dalit Basti was making a bomb for hunting animals along with two associates. The device went off while Birendra was handling it, severing both his palms and two others sustained serious injuries.

Immediately, Birendra was rushed to Parjang Hospital for treatment in critical condition. The other two associates fled from the site.

On getting information about the blast, the Dihadol Forester reached Parjang Medical and started a probe into matter.

He said that once it is clear who was involved in making the bomb, legal action will be taken against them.
