Bolangir Police Rescue Missing Minor from Chhattisgarh

Khaprakhol Police in Bolangir district rescued a 13-year-old boy, Uddhab Majhi, who had gone missing from Malapada village under Bhali Dunguri area.


The boy had been staying with his uncle after his parents left for work in another state.

On May 13, Uddhab left home around 9 a.m. and did not return. His family searched for him throughout the day but failed to locate him. The next day, they lodged a missing complaint at Khaprakhol Police Station.

Acting swiftly, police registered Case No. 89/14-5-2026 under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and launched an investigation. During the probe, officers received information that the boy was in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Under the leadership of Khaprakhol Police Station Officer Narendra Chhatar, a team travelled to Raipur and successfully rescued the missing minor. The police later called his father and handed over Uddhab to him safely.
