Body of youth found under Jharpada railway overbridge

Bhubaneswar: The body of a youth was found under the railway overbridge in Jharpada area of Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. This incident is the third in a series of bodies being found near the railway crossing or the railway station.

The identity of the youth is yet to be ascertained. It is also not known whether he has jumped off from the railway overbridge or someone has killed him by pushing him. The investigation is being carried out in several angles. Whether his body was simply disposed off in the area or was he killed there is also being probed.

According to information, some locals noticed the body of the youth lying under the overbridge. The immediately informed the police who then reached the spot and started probing the matter.

The body was seized and sent for autopsy to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. The postmortem report will be a major clue in the case as the identity of the youth remains unknown till now.

The Government Reserve Police (GRP) of the Indian Railways is investigating the matter. The police is suspecting it to be a case of self killing, however, probe is underway from several angles. Police is also trying to collect other evidence from the crime scene.

It is to be noted that On August 30, the body of a youth was found from the toilet of the Purushottam Express at Bhubaneswar railway station. Similarly just the day after on August 31, the body of a YouTuber was found under the Palasapalli rail overbridge in Bhubaneswar. He was identified as Sandeep Das, a YouTube Travel vlogger and a biker. His content was focused on bike stunts.
