BMC Imposed More Restrictions For Holi, Dola Purnima; Check Details

 

Bhubaneswar(Reporters Today Bureau): Amidst the surge of Covid-19 cases, The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has imposed fresh guidelines for Dola Jatra and Holi celebrations in the city

Earlier, on March 19 the Odisha government had issued restrictions on celebrations related to “Dola Purnima” and Holi Festivals.

Here are the additional restrictions:

  • During the celebration of Dola Jatra for carrying the idol, a maximum of six persons will be allowed.

 

  • The persons carrying the idol need to wear face mask appropriately as far as practicable

 

  • The organizers shall ensure that a maximum of 50 to 60 people is present at any point of time at the Dola.

 

  • Melan Padia with strict adherence to COVID appropriate behavior like maintenance of social distancing of six feet among two people and the wearing of face mask.

 

  • There shall be no Jatra/Orchestra/Meena Bazar or any kind of celebrations at the Dola Melan Padia.

 

  • The organizers shall have to obtain written permissions from BMC to conduct the functions with the above stipulations.

 

  • The religious rituals may be performed inside the temple with adherence to COVID appropriate  However no devotees are allowed inside the temple.
