BJD MPs vote for Dhankhad

Bhubaneswar, August 6

All the BJD MPs from Odisha in both Houses of Parliament Saturday voted in favour of Jagdeep Dhankar for the post of vice president.

Dhankar is pitted against Opposition sponsored candidate Margaret Alva in the election.

Notably, Chief Minister and BJD supremo had announced party’s support to Dhankar as soon as it was announced by the NDA.

The result of the election is likely to be announced by late evening today.
