BJD Forms District Committees in 11 Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Saturday announced the constitution of its District Committees in 11 districts of Odisha, in a bid to strengthen the party’s organisational base ahead of future political engagements.

The decision was approved by BJD President Naveen Patnaik. The newly formed committees have been constituted in Kandhamal, Sundergarh, Boudh, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Malkangiri, Debagarh, Angul, Jharsuguda, and Subarnapur districts.

According to the party, each district committee will have designated office-bearers, including Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer, and Secretary, who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating party activities at the local level.

Party leaders said the move is aimed at improving organisational efficiency, strengthening grassroots presence, and ensuring better coordination of party programmes across the state.
