Bhubaneswar: While the entire state of Odisha is sweltering, it seems like the capital city is burning as the temperature touched 32 degrees Celsius by 8:30 AM on Monday amidst the heatwave.

Not only that, but a humidity level of 81% has also been recorded in Bhubaneswar today. Gusty winds are expected to prevail over the next 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in western Odisha are expected to soar to around 43 degrees Celsius soon.

Meanwhile, a cyclone has formed in the Bay of Bengal, which is likely to bring relief through rain. It is expected to gradually intensify and turn into a low-pressure area by June 13.

The Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy weather during the Raja Festival in Odisha, with rainfall expected to increase from June 14 onwards.
