Bhubaneswar: Another Security Breach at Puri Jagannath Temple Sparks Concern

Bhubaneswar: The Puri Jagannath Temple has once again been hit by a security lapse, after a youth from Maharashtra allegedly took photographs inside the shrine and posted them on his Instagram account. The images quickly went viral, raising serious questions about temple security.
The accused, identified as Vaibhav Dure Patil, reportedly managed to capture photos despite strict prohibitions on photography inside the temple premises. Authorities are investigating how the breach occurred.

This is not an isolated incident. On August 28, a drone was spotted hovering over the Srimandir area, which is a designated no-flying zone. Officials are still probing the identity of the drone operator and how it evaded security.
Earlier, on August 4, a youth from Gujarat was caught carrying spectacles fitted with a hidden spy camera. The following day, another youth from West Bengal was apprehended for similar violations.
These repeated lapses have sparked concerns about the effectiveness of security measures at one of India’s most revered temples, prompting calls for stricter checks and enhanced monitoring to prevent future breaches.
