Belgadia Palace thrown open to tourists

The centuries old  Belgadia Palace of Baripada has opened its gates on Tuesday for travelers as a heritage stay .

Renovated by the scions of the Bhanja dynasty,princesses Mrinalika and Akshita ,the palace will offer ten immaculately done rooms with modern facilities but steeped in royal heritage.

The Victorian era structure has undergone careful restoration  under the supervision of Delhi-based interior designer Pooja Bihani .

Several tourism add-ons like visit to tribal village to experience Dokra,stone-carving,Chhau martial dance,have been  planned for the tourists.Tourists can also visit Haripur which was the original palace of the Bhanja kings.
