BCCI medical team advises Jasprit Bumrah not to play fifth Test of IND vs ENG

Jasprit Bumrah will not play during the fifth Test against England at The Oval because of back issues, with Akash Deep being named as his replacement. The BCCI medical staff has deemed Bumrah’s overall well-being more important and rest him even though the match is vital.

Bumrah’s load has been handled during the series, and he had already mentioned that he would not be playing all five Tests because of fitness issues. His back problems have been a long-standing issue, and the team management does not want the injury to get worsened.
