Barang Additional Tahasildar Jitendra Kumar Panda arrested

Cuttack: Jitendra Kumar Panda, the Additional Tahasildar of Barang in Cuttack district has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance in disproportionate assets (DA) case.

Based on searches conducted on properties of Panda, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 2 multi storeyed buildings at Bhubaneswar, one 2 BHK flat at Uttara, Bhubaneswar & 1 multi storeyed building at Khurda Town, 4 high value plots, gold approximately 560 grams, deposits Rs 36.97 lakh, cash Rs 73.66 lakh, 1 four wheeler, etc, which he could not account for satisfactorily.

In this connection, Vigilance Cell PS case No.12/2025 was registered against the Barang Additional Tahasildar following which he was arrested.

Further investigation is underway.
