Bandh Paralyses Normal Life in Western Odisha
Sambalpur (Reporters Today): A 12-hour bandh over the demand of establishment of a permanent High Court bench paralyzed the normal life of the region.
The strike has been given by the lawyers’ associations of western Odisha. The lawyers have also opposed the decision of the Bar Council which recently sought disciplinary action against undisciplined lawyers.
According to members of the bar associations, there will be complete bandh in Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Nuapada and Sundargarh area. All government organizations, schools, colleges, shops, markets remained closed in view of the lawyer’s strike.
