Balianta brutal murder case: Crime Branch plans to take arrested accused persons on remand

Bhubaneswar: In a latest development in the Balianta brutal murder case, the Odisha Crime Branch, which is probing the heinous murder case, has reportedly applied to take 11 arrested accused persons on remand.
According to reports, the probe agency has prayed before the JMFC court in Bhubaneswar to take the 11 accused persons, who were arrested by the Commissionerate Police before the Crime Branch took over the case.
If sources are to be believed, the Crime Branch has applied to take the accused persons on a 5-day remand to interrogate and extract more information about the brutal incident.
It is to be noted here that the Crime Branch has not interrogated these 11 accused persons, who were initially arrested by the Commissionerate.
Following their arrested all the accused persons have been lodged in the Jharpada Jail.
If permission is given by the court, they will be remanded from the jail, otherwise the Crime Branch team can interrogate these accused persons in the jail itself, said source.
