Balasore: Bus hits trailer truck, 5 injured

Jaleswar: At least five people have been injured after a pilgrimage bus hit a trailer truck from behind. The incident happened on the NH 60 near Santoshpur square under Basta police limits in Balasore district.

The bus was coming from Howarh of West Bengal and was going to Puri. There were 51 passengers in the bus. The trailer truck was stationary on the road and the speeding bus hit it from behind.

In the accident at least 5 people have sustained critical injuries. The front cabin of the bus was completely damaged.

On receiving information, the police reached the spot and rushed the people to the hospital. The police seized both the vehicles and started an investigation.

From preliminary investigation it was found that the bus driver had dozed off due to which he hit the stationary bus.
