Balangir: BEOs face salary cut for not meeting plantation targets. The salary of all the Block Education Officers (BEOs) under Balangir Education District have been withheld for not meeting the target of plantation under the ‘Maa Pain Gachhatie’ (A plant for the mother) yojana of the Government.

As per reports, salaries of all the Block Education Officers (BEOs) have been withheld. The District Education Officer (DEO) has withheld salary of the BEOs for the month of July. The salary has been withheld as the target in planting trees was not met.

While the salary of these officers for the month of July has been withheld, it is mentioned that the salary will be paid after achieving 100 percent success in the next instructions or program.

In this regard, the District Education Officer has reportedly informed the District Treasury and Sub-Treasury Officers of the concerned BEOs through a letter.
