Atanu May Return to Cabinet

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): The former Health Minister and young BJD legislator Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak may return to cabinet more powerfully. Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak is currently MLA from Mahakalpada constituency. He is a four time MLA from Kendrapada district, three times from Mahakalpada and once from Patkura.

He was formerly the Health Minister and resigned after the SUM Hospital fire tragedy in 2016. Various programmes, many more initiatives and major steps to develop the health care system were taken by Atanu when he headed the ministry. His surprise visit to any place put the corrupt officials in terror. His prompt work in party and in public is appreciated by all his colleagues as well as the party chief.

According to party sources, he may regain the health ministry. In the time of SUM tragedy, all the medias, intellectuals and oppositions blamed him as his wife was working at SOA University. Point is that, is there any rule that the wife of a minister can’t work in any institution? For the baseless and intentional allegation against him and his wife, the then health minister resigned from his post. From that day Atanu didn’t get any ministry. But now the time has changed. Sources said Atanu is all set to regain his post.
