Astarang Police IIC Suspended for Misconduct in Previous Posting

Bhubaneswar: The Inspector in-Charge (IIC) of Astarang Police Station in Odisha’s Puri district, Rajesh Baliar Singh, has been suspended for gross misconduct and dereliction of duty during his earlier tenure as a sub-inspector at Jeypore Police Station in Koraput district.

Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) YB Khurania ordered the suspension with immediate effect, exercising powers under Rule 840 of the Police Manual Rules (PMR), 1940. The official order was issued today by the Odisha Police Headquarters in Cuttack.

During the suspension period, Baliar Singh has been directed to report to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Central Range.
