ASP Anuj Chaudhary Earns Praise as Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s ‘Sanatan Ekta Padyatra’ Enters Mathura

The ‘Sanatan Ekta Padyatra’ led by Bageshwar Dham Peethadhishwar Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri entered Mathura on Thursday, marking a significant spiritual moment for thousands of devotees. The padyatra, now in its seventh day, has been receiving a grand welcome at every stop — from floral showers to devotional chants echoing along the route.

A Rare Gesture: Shastri Salutes ASP Anuj Chaudhary

During the Mathura stretch of the padyatra, an unusual and heart-warming moment captured public attention. As the responsibility of security arrangements fell under ASP Anuj Chaudhary, the disciplined and extensive measures impressed Shastri so deeply that he personally saluted the senior officer.

The gesture — rare and unexpected — quickly went viral, with many praising ASP Chaudhary for his dedication and calm leadership amid the large gathering.

Shastri’s Health Falters Briefly, Devotees Show Concern

At one point during the journey, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s health deteriorated, prompting him to rest briefly on the roadside. Devotees and volunteers paused the procession until he recovered enough to resume the walk. Despite the temporary inconvenience, the energy of the crowd remained high, and the atmosphere continued to buzz with devotion.

A Spiritual Procession Through Mathura

Over the next three days, the padyatra is expected to cover nearly 55 kilometers in Mathura. Massive security deployments, crowd-control systems, and emergency arrangements have been put in place to ensure smooth movement.

The journey has become a visual spectacle in the holy city.

Devotees dressed as Hanuman, vibrant tableaux of Sita and Rama, and continuous chants of “Jai Shri Ram” have turned this spiritual march into a cultural celebration.

“We Want Ganga, Not Ganga of Violence” — Shastri’s Message

Reacting strongly to the Delhi blast incident, Shastri addressed the devotees during the padyatra and said,

“We do not want riots in this country — we want the purity of the Ganga.”

He also urged religious leaders to guide children in the path of knowledge and inspiration, saying they should be shaped into “the next APJ Abdul Kalam”.

A March for Unity, Not Division

Speaking about the purpose of the padyatra, Shastri emphasized its message of harmony:

“This is a journey for Hindus — anyone from any party is welcome. Our mission is to erase caste barriers, untouchability, and social divisions.”

He described the padyatra as a symbol of Sanatan Dharma, unity, and collective strength.
