Asia Cup 2025 match timings changed: ACC announces new schedule

Asia Cup 2025 is just around the corner, and the Asian Cricket Council has revealed a new schedule for the competition. There are mostly 8 PM IST starts for most matches, including the India-Pakistan match scheduled to be played at 8 PM IST on September 14. There is only a single day match between UAE and Oman on September 15 with a 5:30 PM IST start.

There will be eight teams, split into two groups. India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman are in Group A and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong in Group B. All teams will play the others within their group once with the top two qualifying for the Super 4 stage.

Here’s the match schedule:

September 9: Afghanistan vs Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi – 8:00 PM IST
September 10: India vs United Arab Emirates, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 11: Bangladesh vs Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi – 8:00 PM IST
September 12: Pakistan vs Oman, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 13: Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, Abu Dhabi – 8:00 PM IST
September 14: India vs Pakistan, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 15: UAE vs Oman, Abu Dhabi – 5:30 PM IST
September 15: Sri Lanka vs Hong Kong, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 16: Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, Abu Dhabi – 8:00 PM IST
September 17: Pakistan vs UAE, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 18: Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, Abu Dhabi – 8:00 PM IST
September 19: India vs Oman, Abu Dhabi – 8:00 PM IST

The Super 4 stage will see each qualifier face the other three teams, with the top two proceeding to the final on September 28 in Dubai. The Super 4 matches are scheduled as follows:

September 20: B1 vs B2, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 21: A1 vs A2, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 23: A2 vs B1, Abu Dhabi – 8:00 PM IST
September 24: A1 vs B2, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 25: A2 vs B2, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST
September 26: A1 vs B1, Dubai – 8:00 PM IST

The championship match is scheduled for September 28 in Dubai, with September 29 as a reserve day, in the event of weather disruptions. The scheduling move is made to stay clear of Dubai’s sweltering heat and capture maximum primetime viewership in the major cricketing countries.
