Active Banjara Gang busted in Balasore

Balasore: A girl and two boys have been taken into custody by the police in connection with an alleged theft in the Sahadevkhunta police station area of Balasore district.

Sources say that the suspects are part of an active Banjara gang, which had broken into a house late at night to commit theft.

The owner of the house was asleep when the crime attempt was being committed by the three individuals.

It has been alleged that they attempted to steal a mobile phone from the house, but the owner awoke and found them in the act.

Soon, he alerted the local residents, who reached the scene and nabbed the trio, and informed the police about the crime.

A team of cops from the Sahadevkhunta police station reached the place and took the robbers into custody to question them.

It is now being investigated if they were part of earlier thefts, as reportedly, they belong to a known gang.
