Special OTET-2025 Postponed Again After Question Paper Leak Probe

Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has postponed the Special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) scheduled for August 31, with fresh dates to be announced later.

This marks the second disruption for the Special OTET-2025. The exam was initially set for July 20 but was canceled just a day earlier due to a question paper leak. The matter was handed over to the Crime Branch for investigation.

So far, eight people have been arrested in connection with the case, including BSE Vice-President Nihar Mohanty, Data Entry Operator Jiten Maharana, and Bijay Mishra, President of the Ex-Cadre Teachers’ Association in Rayagada district.

On Wednesday, the Crime Branch concluded a two-day remand of Maharana and Mishra, after which they were sent to Choudwar Jail. The investigation into the leak is still underway.
