Low pressure rainfall in Odisha for next 4 days

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rains lashed out in several parts of Odisha due to the low pressure in Bay of Bengal. In the next 24 hours it will intensify further and will transform into a well-marked low pressure.

The low pressure will advance in the direction of Northern coastal Andhra Pradesh and Southern Odisha. This will induce a low pressure rainfall in the state.

The IMD has issued alert warnings for the heavy low pressure rainfall with orange warnings to two districts. The windspeed in these two districts of Malkangiri and Koraput is likely to remain between 30 to 40 kmphr.

Similarly, nine other districts have been issued a yellow warning for thunderstorm and lightning. As the sea will be turbulent, the fishermen have been asked not to enter the sea in the meanwhile.

Days ago, heavy rainfall has disrupted the traffic on the Mandi-Kullu National Highway in Pandoh district of Himachal Pradesh, said reliable reports on Wednesday.

It is worth mentioning here that, the SHO Anil Katoch told ANI that, “This is the Mandi-Kullu National Highway. When the rainfall causes slides and debris on the highway, we halt the traffic coming from Mandi as a precaution.
