BJD calls for 6-Hour Bandh in Puri on August 7

Puri: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has called for a 6-hour ‘Bandh’ in Puri on August 7 over the Balanga incident. The strike will commence at 6 am in the morning on Augurst 7 to continue till 12 noon. BJD informed this in a press meet in Puri today.

Raising questions on the police investigation, Biju Janata Dal has demanded that the government should reveal the truth of the incident. BJD has also alleged that the culprit is not being identified deliberately. BJD will continue the agitation if the truth is not revealed immediately, said Puri district BJD president Umakant Samantaray.

Meanwhile, BJP said that the Odisha government has adopted a zero tolerance policy for crimes against women. Whoever is the culprit, he is being arrested. Action is also being taken. BJP’s Amar Nayak said that BJD should come to the debate without doing politics.
