Sagarika Nath appointed as SP of Police in National Investigation Agency on Central Deputation

Bhubaneswar: 2016 batch Odisha cadre IPS officer and present Khordha SP Sagarika Nath has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police in National Investigation Agency on Central Deputation.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India issued a letter to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Odisha in this regard on 31st July.
In the official communication to the Chief Secretary, the Ministry has requested that Ms. Nath be relieved from her current assignment immediately to enable her to assume her new responsibilities at the Centre.
The appointment is against an existing vacancy and will be governed by the standard terms and conditions of central deputation.
Necessary instructions have also been issued to the Director General of Police, Odisha, and the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Delhi, to coordinate the smooth transition. The date of joining is to be intimated to the Ministry upon assumption of charge.
With this posting, Sagarika Nath will now contribute to handling high-profile national security cases at India’s premier counter-terrorism agency.
