CM Majhi Surveys Flood-Hit Districts, Reviews Relief Measures

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected districts of Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasore, and Kendujhar to assess the extent of damage and monitor ongoing relief operations.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Higher Education, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, and Special Relief Commissioner Deoranjan Kumar Singh during the survey. The team reviewed the impact of incessant rainfall and overflowing rivers that have disrupted normal life across several regions in north Odisha.

After the aerial survey, CM Majhi held a high-level review meeting with district collectors, block officials, and representatives from various departments to ensure effective on-ground coordination of relief work.

“I have directed officials to strengthen administrative coordination and ensure that all necessary government assistance reaches the affected people without delay,” said the Chief Minister in an official statement.

The state government has assured timely intervention and continued support to those impacted by the floods, as assessment and relief measures continue across the worst-hit areas.
