Odisha CM reviews temple development projects

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today reviewed the development projects being carried out at different temples of the State.
While reviewing the temple projects at Lok Seva Bhawan, the Chief Minister gave focus for heritage and pilgrim amenities at Ghatgaon Maa Tarini Temple in Keonjhar, Jajpur Maa Biraja Temple Parikrama Project and Ekamra Kshetra in Bhubaneswar.
As per the decision taken at the meeting, the Ghatgaon Maa Tarini Temple development program being done on 59-acre in 4 phases will be completed in 2.5 years. This includes 200-bed pilgrim lodge, 300-seat interpretation center, 500-seat prasad hall, food plaza, market complex, parking, roads, and temple pond. The CM directed shop relocation to market complex and consultation with temple committee.
Likewise, the four-phase beautification and restoration work being done under the Jajpur Maa Biraja Temple Parikrama Project features Biraja Haat, Brahmakunda and Hati Pokhari restoration, interpretation center, dharamshala, and pilgrim facilities.
Similarly, Majhi emphasized Ekamra’s ancient Shaiva Peeth status while reviewing the Ekamra Kshetra in Bhubaneswar and ordered temple upgrades with ASI consultation, road improvements, and parking solutions near Lingaraj Temple.
Works & Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Works Secretary Sanjay Singh, and senior Works & Tourism officials were present during the temple development projects review meeting.
