Corruption in Balasore Police

The incident has escalated after the Balasore Superintendent of Police’s PSO was suspended for taking bribes. The Superintendent of Police’s PSO has been suspended on charges of taking bribes from many people for the appointment of home guards.

What is the role of the Superintendent of Police in this case ? Why no action is being taken against him ? According to the report, the Superintendent of Police’s PSO is a relative of the local MLA and is also staying at the MLA’s house, which is related to the investigation?
