Couple killed in road accident

Boudh: In a tragic incident, a couple was killed in a road mishap in Boudh district of Odisha yesterday night. The most tragic thing is the car met the accident when the man was going along with his wife to attend the funeral of his father.

The accident took place near Nuapada in Boudh area on the Khordha-Balangir National Highway no. 57.

The deceased have been identified as Raj Kishore Sahu and wife Meenakshi Sahu.

As per reports, after getting news of his father’s death, Raj Kishore Sahu was rushing to his native village Gania in Nayagarh district from Kalahandi district along with his wife in a car. When the couple were passing through the Nuapada area of Boudh district on the Khordha-Balangir National Highway number 57, their car hit head-on a truck that had been parked on the roadside near a toll gate.

Tragically, the man and his wife were killed on the spot only as a result of the accident.

After getting information, Police reached the spot and initiated investigation.
